Milled to order
Milled to order · never stocked
Your atta is milled the day you order it.
Freshly milled chakki atta, stone-ground from the grain you choose and sent across India. Not four months ago in a factory — the morning after you order.
Tomorrow's batch is being filled now. Order by 8 PM to be on it.
Start with a favourite.
The three our customers reach for most — milled the morning after you order.

In a hurry?
Need atta sooner? We thought of that too.
Fresh is the whole reason Nivah exists — Ayurveda has always prized food made fresh, and everything here is stone-ground the morning after you order. But we'd rather you had good atta today than none at all. So we keep one blend milled, packed and ready to ship — mostly ground within the past week, honest about what it is, held to the same quality.
Why it tastes different
The difference isn't the wheat. It's the date.
A packet on a shelf was milled, bagged, warehoused, trucked and stocked before you picked it up. That is usually two to four months. Ours has one date on it — the morning it was ground.
Milled to order
- Ground after your order is placed
- Stone mill, turning slowly and cool
- Whole grain — bran and germ stay in
- Ingredients list: one line
- Milling date printed on every pack
Milled months ago
- Ground to a production schedule
- Steel roller mills, fast and warm
- Often reconstituted after separation
- Read the back of the pack yourself
- A packing date, not a milling date
We describe process, not health outcomes. Where we cite a nutritional figure anywhere on this site, the source is named next to it.
Three steps
From your order to your kitchen.
1
You choose your grain
Pick a single grain, or build a blend with your own proportions.
2
We mill it within 24 hrs
On stone, slowly, the next morning. Packed the same hour it's ground.
3
It reaches your kitchen
With the milling date on the pack, so you never have to take our word for it.
Order by 8 PM and yours is on tomorrow morning's stone.
After 8 PM it goes on the following morning's batch. We would rather tell you that than round it down.
If you've been searching
No atta chakki near you?
Thousands of people look for a chakki near them every month and settle for something worse. There are only three honest options, and we're only one of them.
Find a good local chakki
If you have one you trust, use it. Watching your own grain go between the stones beats everything. Just ask one question first: when was this ground? If they can't say, you're buying pre-ground flour from a sack.
Buy a chakki for home
A domestic flour mill costs about what a washing machine does. Most people who buy one stop using it inside a year — it's loud, it needs cleaning, and grain has to be sourced. Be honest about which household you are.
Have it milled and sent
What we do. You choose the grain, it goes on the stone next morning, and the milling date is printed on the pack. You don't get to watch — that's the real trade-off. You get a date you can check instead.
Build your blend
No two families eat the same roti.
Choose your base grain, add what your household actually needs, and tell us how fine to grind it. We mill exactly that — and print the proportions on the pack.
It is the one thing a factory cannot do for you.
Where the idea comes from
Four ideas we took from tradition.
These are descriptions of a traditional framework, not health claims of ours. We've kept them in their own words and said where they come from.
प्राण
Prana
In Ayurvedic texts, freshly prepared food is described as carrying more prana — vital energy — than food that has been stored.
Traditional concept. Not a nutritional claim.
अग्नि
Agni
Agni is the traditional idea of digestive fire — the notion that how food is prepared matters as much as what it is.
Traditional concept. Not a nutritional claim.
ताजगी
Freshness
Grain keeps for years. Flour does not — once ground, the germ is exposed to air. This part is chemistry, not philosophy.
Lipid oxidation in milled whole grain is well documented in food-science literature.
चक्की
Chakki
A stone mill turns slowly and stays cool. A steel roller mill is faster and warmer. Both make flour; they don't make the same flour.
Process description, verifiable at our mill.
Honest section
We're new. So here is what you can check yourself.
We could have put five stars and a number of happy families on this page. We haven't earned those yet. These are things you can verify today, without trusting us at all.
When real customers give us permission to quote them, their words will replace this section — with their city and the date they ordered.
-
The milling date on your packPrinted, not stickered. Compare it to the date you ordered. This is the one claim our whole business stands on, and it's checkable with your own eyes.
-
Where the stones turnMadhya Pradesh — in the middle of the wheat country they grind. Grain reaches our stones in hours, not weeks.
-
If it isn't right, we replace itTell us within seven days of delivery and we mill it again or refund you. No photographs needed, no questions that assume you're lying.

Read this before you order 20 kg
Fresh atta is not meant to be stockpiled.
Ours is at its best within about 30 to 45 days. That isn't a limitation we're apologising for — it's the whole point. Flour that keeps for nine months keeps because the part that spoils has been taken out of it.
So buy less, more often. A family of four usually finishes 5 kg in three to four weeks. That's the rhythm we built the monthly plan around.
Before you order
The questions we actually get asked.
How fresh is "fresh", exactly?
Your order goes on the next morning's batch if it's placed before 8 PM, and the morning after if it's later. It is packed within the hour it's ground and picked up the same day. The milling date is printed on the pack.
How long does it keep?
Best within 30–45 days in an airtight container away from heat. Millet flours — jowar, bajra, ragi — are shorter still, closer to 3–4 weeks, because they turn faster once ground. Refrigerating extends it; freezing extends it further.
Do you deliver to my pincode?
Enter it at the top of this page and you'll get the milling date and the delivery date, not a vague range. Metro pincodes are usually two days in transit after milling; most other cities three.
Is stone-grinding actually different?
The verifiable part is process, not health: stones turn slowly and stay cooler, and the whole grain goes through together rather than being separated and recombined. Whether you taste the difference is genuinely up to you — that's why the three-grain sampler exists.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us within seven days of delivery and we'll mill a replacement or refund you. We don't ask for photographs.
Can I pause or change the monthly plan?
Yes — skip a month, change the grain, change the quantity, or stop entirely. Send us a message and it is done. There is no minimum number of months.
Start with one bag. Decide for yourself.
If it isn't better than what you're buying now, stop after one. That's the whole pitch.
